چکیده

The study of the acceleration properties a t the end effector is important in the analysis, design, and control of robot manipulators. I n previous ejTorts aimed a t addressing this problem, the end-effector acceleration has been treated as a vector combining both the linear and ‘angular accelerations. The methodology presented in this article provides characterization:s of these two different types of accelerations and describes the relationship between them. This work is an extension of our previous studies on manipulator inertial and acceleration properties. The treatment relies on the ellipsoid expansion model, a simple geometric approach t o e f i ciently analyze end-effector accelerations. Results of the application of this analysis to the PUMA 560 manipulator are discussed.

An Adaptive-Robust Control Approach for Trajectory Tracking of two 5 DOF Cooperating Robot Manipulators Moving a Rigid Payload

In this paper, a dual system consisting of two 5 DOF (RRRRR) robot manipulators is considered as a cooperative robotic system used to manipulate a rigid payload on a desired trajectory between two desired initial and end positions/orientations. The forward and inverse kinematic problems are first solved for the dual arm system. Then, dynamics of the system and the relations between forces/momen...

A New Intelligent Approach to Patient-cooperative Control of Rehabilitation Robots

This paper presents a new intelligent method to control rehabilitation robots by mainly considering reactions of patient instead of doing a repetitive preprogrammed movement. It generates a general reference trajectory based on different reactions of patient during therapy. Three main reactions has been identified and included in reference trajectory: small variations, force shocks in a single ...

Interval Analysis of Controllable Workspace for Cable Robots

Workspace analysis is one of the most important issues in the robotic parallel manipulator design. ‎However, ‎the unidirectional constraint imposed by cables causes this analysis more challenging in the cabledriven redundant parallel manipulators. Controllable workspace is one of the general workspace in the cabledriven redundant parallel manipulators due to the dependency on geometry parameter...

The Effect of Base Position on Maximum Allowable Load of Dual Arm Robots

A new computational technique is presented to find the optimal base position of dual arm robots in order to carry maximum allowable load. The maximum allowable load on a desired trajectory is limited by the number of factors such as; actuators torque limits, kinematic constraints, and kinematic redundancy of cooperative manipulators. For a dual arm robot mounted on a rail or table, load works...

Inverse Kinematics Resolution of Redundant Cooperative Manipulators Using Optimal Control Theory

The optimal path planning of cooperative manipulators is studied in the present research. Optimal Control Theory is employed to calculate the optimal path of each joint choosing an appropriate index of the system to be minimized and taking the kinematics equations as the constraints. The formulation has been derived using Pontryagin Minimum Principle and results in a Two Point Boundary Value Pr...
